With the rise of digital alternatives to traditional publication, there has been a lot of talk regarding the extinction of the latter. In a previous post of mine, I covered a press release of Outsell which dictates that digital and online advertising and marketing will overtake print in 2010; given its slow growth rate.
Publication will still remain as it is but what about the content? Here’s a clever video portraying the future of publishing, courtesy of the Penguin folks. It was initially produced for an internal presentation but was soon released into the public. Just be sure to watch it at least halfway through, when the twist kicks in.
