If not for Twitter, I would have never met people that share the same interest as much I do; social media marketing. One particular person that stood out in my Twitter following list would be Tim Ho; a regional digital strategist based in Hong Kong for Ogilvy 360 Digital Influence Asia Pacific; he blogs at Tim-Ho.com. After a few conversations with him over Twitter, I knew immediately that he’s someone that I could look up to if I ever want to be in the digital media sector.
About a month ago, Tim kindly put up an ebook entitled ‘Social Media Basics for Executives’. Simply put, it’s a guide book for marketers who want to dabble into the social media scene. On the slides, he explains what social media is, why businesses should invest in it and the things that you’re not supposed to do in social media.
This presentation is perfect for executives as it explains the difference between social marketing and digital marketing and the kind of strategy and planning that they should focus on. This entire presentation is put together in an organized and simple to understand kind of way.
Personally, I’ve learnt quite a lot from that slide of his and I hope everyone who reads through the slide does the same too.
Share with us what you’ve gained after going through Tim’s slide. Your feedback is most appreciated!
