In an effort to find out the effectiveness of social media in terms of achieving various target business objectives; such as increasing product or brand awareness and increasing sales revenue, Marketing Sherpa has released a new chart to demonstrate the above objective.
The chart aims to determine which objectives are most effectively met through social media marketing and hopefully, by using the chart above, it’ll help marketers define the appropriate objectives their social media strategy.
From the results, we can see that 49%; nearly half of the time when using social media as part of a marketing strategy; it proves to be very effective in increasing brand or product awareness. However, the same can’t be said for translating this awareness into sales revenue. The latter is only 12% very effective when utilizing social marketing.
I wonder why that is so. Do you have any idea? Share with us.
