With the rise of social media, the most common question that was raised is which social media sites should a business use? Obviously, there’s no magic or easy solution to that question because the choice really depends on your goals, strategy, resources and your industry.

Drew McLellan created a cheat sheet to help businesses answer that question but keep in mind that this is not a cookie cutter or definitive kind of thing.

  • Thanks for sharing this Social Media Cheat Sheet, Drew. I found your site via Chris Brogan sharing this post on Google Buzz.

While the Cheat sheet provides decent information for CMOs to learn about basic social media networks, I think a social media cheat sheet will only help CMOs if they first understand the importance of blogging and blogging for business.

In my opinion, without a business blog, CMOs shouldn’t bother with Social Media Networks for Business.
  • Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Agreed with you, blogs are still one of the better options to interact with your customers.

Great post! With hundreds of Social Media emerging nowadays, the most effective way of using is choosing a handful that fits most your business needs. Otherwise, it's a total waste of time. Cheers!
